no longer的用法
no longer意為“不再”，通常放在行為動詞前，be動詞的後面。 no longer 可用not…any longer代替。如：
①annie no longer lives here. 安妮不住這兒了。
②she is no longer a music lover.她不再是一個**愛好者了。
③her father died, and after that she no longer went to school. ( ＝she didn't go to school any longer)她的父親去世了，此後她就不再上學了。
no more/not…any more與no longer/not…any longer同義，但用法有所區別：當涉及數量和程度時，要用no more。如：
①there is no more bread. 沒有面包了。
②we saw him no more = we didn't see him again. 我們再也沒有看到他了。
▲而談到時間、強調今昔對比時，不能用no more，而要用 not…any more, no longer/ not…any/ longer。
(1) 用作副詞表示時間上的“用作副詞表示時間上的“不再”，可用no longer, not…any longer, not…any more：he knows that he is no longer young. 他知道自己不再年輕。
we don’t live here any more [longer]. / we no longer live here. 我們不住在這裡了。
我們不住在這裡了。no longer 通常位於句中的實意動詞之前，動詞be、助動詞和情態動詞之後，有時也可位於句末或句首(用於句首時，其後用倒裝語序)：he no longer loves her.
/ he loves her no longer. / no longer does he love her. 他再也不愛她了。
【注】原來【注】no more 也可表示時間上的“不再”(但要與非延續性動詞連用，且位於句末)，但在現代英語中，no more 一般不這樣用。
no longer=not any longer no more=not any more no more 和 not any more 可以做賓語，no longer 不可以 用作副詞表示時間上的“不再”，可用no longer, not…any longer, not…any more no longer意思是“不再”，其確切含意為某狀態在某個時刻之後不再繼續下去了。所以，當你從學校畢業了，就可以說：i'm no longer a student.
我不再是個學生了。 有兩個短語和no longer同義，即not…any longer和not…any more，但他們側重的方面不同。前者側重時間，比如：
he no longer lives here. = he doesn't live here any longer. 他不在這兒居住了。
(一個時間以前他住在這兒，過了這個時間，他就離開了。) 後者側重程度和數量，比如： you can drink no more.
= you can't drink any more. 你不能再喝了。(喝酒的量到了一定程度，不能再繼續下去了。
) 要注意的是：由於no longer本身就帶有否定的含義，即表示“再也不”，所以不能在同一個句子中加入否定詞，比如： i'll come here no longer.
我再也不來了。

1）當修飾動詞時，nolonger通常置於be或行為動詞前；
例句：my daughter can finish the work by herself , because she is no longer a child.

notanylonger與notanymore有什麼區別
1.not...any more表示次數不再繼續；如：他哭了好幾次，他不再哭了。he didn't cry any more.
而 not ...any longe表示時間不再繼續。如：他等了很久，不能再等了。he couldn't wait any longer.
